Great piece. As a fan of Taylor, Joni and Bob (and others you mention here) it's good to see them being evaluated together and in context.

I still remember the moment…I was stuck in traffic on the way to a work event in Queens. I put on Tempest, my body tense with anticipation. Would it be good? Which Dylan would we get? Master craftsman or slapdash provocateur? Two songs in, I found myself just listening. Completely relaxed. Without thinking about it or over-analyzing every last word and sound. I knew then it was a masterpiece!

Haha, amazing. I think my favourite thing about Tempest is that it is a real mix of the two - master craftsman AND slapdash provocateur! I love that old time parlour music intro on Duquesne Whistle that kicks off the album. Definitely a good driving album!
